Sunward Responds to Canada's Proposed Rocketry Regulations

Natural Resources Canada published a proposed update to the Explosives Act and Regulation in the Canada Gazette 1 on March 17,
2012.  The original legislation is outdated as it was written before 1920.

Public comment and feedback is invited and is available for 75 days after the publication date.  After the comments are received and
evaluated, which may result in changes, the Regulations will be published in Canada Gazette 2 and become law in early January 2013.

Weekend and Inventory Update

Well, all done.

We did our inventory.  Way too much products and materials on hand.

NAPAS meeting was good.  But 3 hours was a stretch for an annual meeting.

We did go to the Canadian Toy and Hobby Fair on Sunday.  Got lots of ideas and made some introductions.  And a free small Papa Smurf!

Busy Weekend and Inventory

We have a busy few days ahead.

On the advice of our accountant, we will be doing an inventory this weekend.  We should be doing it at our year end, but never have so we are starting it now.

On Saturday, we are attending the annual general meeting of the North American Propulsion and Aerospace Society (NAPAS) which is a Tripoli Rocketry Association club.

Tim MacLeod's Level 1 Certification

Congratulation to Tim MacLeod on his successful Level 1 flight yesterday, Saturday August 28, 2010 at the NAPAS launch. Tim is the designer of many Sunward rocket kits, including the Mercury Lander Jr, the Solar Eclipse, and many others.

Finally got his certification as he has been waiting almost 2 years for the flight.  He waited because of weather, too windy, scared to lose the rocket, etc.
